Terms And Conditions | How We Quote, Build And Stand Behind The Work
Cincinnati Custom Built-Ins sets out what we agree to do, what you agree to, and what happens if something goes wrong.
10 years and more than 1,310 clients, and the terms below are the ones every single one of them worked to: 25% at order, the balance on completion, and a three to four weeks lead time quoted in writing before you commit.
Deposit terms, lead times, variations and your cancellation rights, in plain English.

Tell us the room and we will come and measure it. No charge for the visit or the drawings.
Quotations and drawings
Quotations are based on a measured survey carried out by us. Where a quotation is given without a survey it is an estimate and is identified as such in writing.
Scaled drawings and a written scope are provided before any work is ordered. Nothing is fabricated until you have approved both in writing.
A quotation is valid for thirty days from issue unless stated otherwise on the document.
Variations
Any change to an approved drawing or scope is a variation. Variations are priced in writing and approved by you before the work is carried out.
Where a condition is discovered that could not reasonably have been established at the survey, such as concealed structure or services, we will stop, tell you, and price the options before continuing.
Work by other trades
Electrical, plumbing and structural work are carried out by appropriately licensed trades and are identified separately in your written scope.
Where those trades are engaged directly by you, we will coordinate sequencing but we are not responsible for their work or their program.
Access, site conditions and protection
We protect floors, stairs and routes before work begins. Access arrangements are agreed at the survey.
Where access requires a run to be built in sections and assembled on site, this is identified in the quotation.
Timber, finish and seasonal movement
Timber is a natural material and moves with seasonal changes in humidity. Small seasonal movement in solid timber components is normal and is not a defect.
Color variation within a species, and the natural darkening of species such as cherry and walnut over time, are characteristics of the material rather than faults.
After installation
If something needs adjusting after installation, contact us and we will come back. Hardware adjustment within the first year is carried out at no charge.
Any warranty term offered on a specific project is stated in that project's written scope.
